I have a dilemma and need some feedback.  I am in the process of designing the Ultimate Entertainment Center in my living room.  Now, I have done a version of this in the past, but I want to blow that one away.

The only problem is my girlfriend (and roommate) isn't down with my desire to be totally immersed in electronics.  Keep in mind, I limit my "electronic time" and the time my kids spend on the computer, in front of the tv and gaming.  It's just that, when I want to journey away from the real world, I want to be totally gone.  Let me lay it out for you and see what you think.

First, every entertainment center needs a tv, video player, gaming device and music player (at a minimum).  That is the basic starting package in my view.  Now, I prefer to watch movies while gaming, so I've have a tv for shows and movies and I've added an extra tv for Xbox.  This is how my entertainment center used to be (the basic plus package).

I discovered one day, that I was missing out on sports with this limited entertainment center.  Then, it hit me.  Playing GTA, Madden or Call of Duty on the "55 while watching Superbad, the Hangover or Shawshank Redemption on the "32 was just not meeting my entertainment needs.

You may be thinking, how can someone watch movies and play video games at the same time?  I must be honest, that while gaming, the movies are a welcome background noise and a great distraction while waiting for games to load.  I can't really pay attention to the plot and story.  That is why you must remember that new movies usually don't work with this system, the best movies are your favorites that you've seen multiple times.

So, I'm playing games, watching movies and needing even more entertainment at the same time.  More sports, specifically.  To complete my  Ultimate Entertainment Center, I need a third tv programmed to ESPN or ESPNews.  That way, I can play my favorite games, watch my favorite movies and keep up on my favorite teams all at the same time.

So far, I've convinced my roomie that two tv's are standard for my entertainment needs and she has accepted.  She thinks a third tv is tacky and unnecessary.  So, I need your help to convince her that a man needs this kind of electronic stimulation (that sounds dirty, lol).  Not too mention, how cutting edge our living room would be compared to every other. She fails to see the genius behind this idea (someday, three tv's may be the standard for every living room).

I want my cake and I want to eat it, too...while playing my favorite games, watching my favorite movies and catching up on my favorite teams.  Now, if I only had an extra hand to hold the fork...
