I have to give a shout out to my #4 ranked Wisconsin Badgers after a big week of wins against #20 Iowa and #23 Illinois.  After, #3 Ohio State's loss to #5 MSU this week, I don't see how the Badgers won't move up to the third spot.

I understand it's not about the ranking this time of year (it is a long season), but as a fan it sure feels good.  I don't plan on throwing that in the face of Hawkeye or Ilini fans because the ranking is a number that doesn't matter.  What happens on the court and the tourney in March, matter.  Now, I may throw some heat your way because the Badgers (known for their defense and slow, steady pace) now have many offensive weapons to go along with their shutdown defense.  Not to mention, how they just flat out dominated Illinois (every where except rebounds).

I have a feeling of deja vu because I remember watching Bo Ryan coach an undefeated Platteville Pioneers team to a 31-0 record and the Division 3 National Championship in 1995.  Who did he beat in the championship game?  Former Iowa coach Steve Alford while he was coaching for Indiana's Manchester College.  That was added as a fun side note.

Now, I am not saying the Badgers are going to win the championship or go undefeated, but it will be exciting to watch it play out.  So, On Wisconsin!  Can't wait to watch Bucky battle through the Big 10.
